The Unhidden Self
The Unhidden Self is a five-day, four-night retreat for LGBTQ+ people seeking a safe, thoughtful and deeply held space for personal exploration, healing and reconnection. It is created for those who want to be met in the fullness of who they are, in a space shaped by sensitivity, humility and an understanding that each person’s identity, relationships, sexuality, history and inner life are uniquely their own.
Held by experienced psychotherapists and facilitators, the retreat brings together psychological depth, careful preparation, embodied practice, group process, ceremony and integration. The central theme is belonging: belonging in the body, in relationship, in community, and in the life that feels most truthful and alive.
This retreat offers a rare affirming space for LGBTQ+ participants to explore intimacy, identity, desire, coming-out or not being out, spirituality, creativity, resilience and personal transformation with care, respect and clinical integrity. All participants complete a careful screening and preparation process so that the retreat can be responsibly and sensitively held.

Cancellation Policy
At Syntara Retreats, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. Our cancellation policy is designed to balance flexibility with the commitments required to run our retreats smoothly.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the retreat price is required to secure your place. The remaining balance must be payed 2 weeks before arrival on the retreat.

Cancellations up to 6 weeks before the retreat: You will receive a 50% refund of the total retreat price.

Cancellations less than 6 weeks before the retreat: No refund will be provided.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to another person without any cancellation fees with the condition that the preparation session has not started and the person recommended passes safety screening.
We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may prevent your attendance.
